Your vote gives voice to guiding our growth, taking care of Sebastian's natural beauty and keeping our residents safe.
The secret's out... everyone knows Sebastian is paradise! I would love to serve on our City Council to help guide our city through this time of growth; bring in the right businesses and create partnerships within our community to help us thrive as we grow. I am running to protect our paradise for all of us to enjoy.
From the safe, walkable riverfront to the plentiful parks, good schools and recreational sports facilities, Sebastian is a great place to raise a family. It's why my mom felt safe moving her daughters here in 1997. A SRHS Shark Alumni, Sebastian pride runs deep in my family. The beauty, kind people and way of life make Sebastian a truly special place. As a busy, multi-generational family, we live for our boat days together on the lagoon fishing, taking in the wildlife, soaking up sun at the sandbar or relaxing on a spoil island. We support local businesses when we get ice cream to celebrate good grades or enjoy a date night along the riverfront. My mom participates in local art/craft shows at Riverview Park. We always look forward to the Clambake, Christmas Parade, Fine Arts & Music Festival, Shrimpfest and 4th of July Fireworks over the river. Our little golfer gets us all out at Sebastian Municipal Golf Course.
For as long as I can remember, I have been driven to succeed and felt called to do something larger than myself. At SRHS, I was in the Top 10% of my class (2001), while balancing athletics and more than one part-time job. In undergrad, I also stood out amongst my peers, earning competitive internships and a spot in the LEAD Scholars program at UCF. I served on Chapter Council as a Charter Member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, a sorority founded on leadership more than 150 years ago. As an alum, I served as Chapter Advisor. With my degree in Broadcast Journalism, I learned how to investigate and question all sides of a story, quickly gather the facts and make contacts in the community. As a TV News Reporter, I have interviewed government officials, astronauts, celebrities, and environmentalists. I left TV News after two years, noticing the industry conflicted with my personal ethics and conservative values. I became a full-time TV Production Teacher and decided to continue my education, completing my Master's Degree in only one year, earning Salutatorian of my graduating class. I have lead groups and worked with committees. I am ready to use my professional past and my love for my family, country and hometown to serve this community.
