About Kelly Dixon
A Hometown Girl
Kelly is a Sebastian River High School Graduate, earning the Shark Pride Award in her junior year. She volunteered as a cheerleading coach for the then Sebastian Panthers (now Sebastian Sharks) youth football program. Kelly lettered in golf, played basketball, took Honors & Dual Enrollment classes, but was most active in the TV Production Program. Kelly videotaped & directed local school board meetings, Prism concerts and hosted a local teen talk show to showcase Sebastian area teens doing positive things. Fun fact, Kelly also taught at SRHS, in the same classroom and the same program she took 15 years prior! She can't hide that Shark pride and looks forward to the day when her children will proudly wear their silver and blue, too.
A Family Centered in Conservative Values
Married to her college sweetheart for over 16 years, Kelly and John have two children, Kaitlyn (12) and Alden (9). She is a ballet mom, running their daughter 20 hours each week to pre-professional training in Eau Gallie. When not at the ballet studio, she is on the golf course with their son who is involved locally with IRGF. Kelly also helps her mom (disabled) on weekends when she showcases her art at Riverview Park through the Sebastian Craft Club. As a family they enjoy boating and fishing in the lagoon, taking in local festivals and dining at local restaurants.
Serving Sebastian
Over the years Kelly and her husband have served as coach/team mom of Sebastian River Area Little League baseball and Sebastian Soccer Association teams. Kelly started a Girl Scout Troop at a local Elementary School that is still active today. Kelly volunteers regularly at Treasure Coast Elementary and served on the board of their PTA. Her family donates annually to Toys for Tots and the Food Pantry.
